Full of the Joys of spring

Today Louka & Noa have been playing colt games all day- sunshine on their backs, new paddock and feeling the joys of spring- I think they are begining to know their gender at last.....Sargeant was certainly full of the joys of spring today- he seems to have sooo much energy that he wants to play all day...He had a pretty good workout from Del today...he was groomed and then a bit in his mouth-mmmmmmm that kept him busy for a while- he stood tied to the rail working out which way to go-he is so light on the halter -we figured it wouldn't take him long to work out which way went where and sure enough took about 15 minutes- he had the saddle blanket and circingle on his back as well...no issues here!!! He takes everything in his stride...while he stood and watched I put Gypsy's saddle on ( I haven't ridden her for nearly a year) and as usual she stood perfectly still while I fluffed around with the western saddle- then the girth- then the stirrups- then the breastplate etc etc etc...Blimey she sure is patient.... and Then I put on the parelli rope hackmore- decided that I would still ride her in that, as I never seemed to have a problem before...I got on from the mounting block -she stood perfectly still again -she was great- most probably sooo glad to get out and do something- just tried out her buttons and stretched what muscles I have left- then decided to do floating- so that I can take her out -loading her by myself....Del helped me a lot with this ...Once Gypsy realised what I was trying to do she was great...I need to float her by herself if I'm going to get out and about again. Once we had washed their tails and finished fluffing around with them we put them down by the stream on some yummy fresh grass- what a picture.
