Sarg & Gypsy - out for the first time together in the float
Well I'm not bragging or anything but Sarg is certainly a little trooper- he hops on that float as though he knows he's off for a big adventure....It's the first time in a very long time that I have ridden Gypsy....she was great but I must say that I was very pleased I was walking her before mounting when we came across a very hairy little shetland pony- her reaction was to say the least raucous...Sarg however wondered why she took exception to this wee thing- he was obbviously used to the tiny weeny's out on the range. Once we got to a reasonable relaxed walk I got on and she was great...not really much I could whimp out about until we came to anything like a shed, or the noise from the pump, or or or. But I managed to get back in one piece....hahaha....There are some issues I need to work on- like she is a lot stiffer one side than the other, so need to bring her back slowly....I just want to have fun doing it...not out to prove anything, and I'm sure it will be much nicer for her too that way....Sarg is rearing to go, he was stepping out there with his circingle and backpad on....Thanks Del....He looked really dissapointed when we turned to come home. One thing I need to work on with him is patience....he wouldn't stand still by the float while we had out coffee....he was pouring the ground and stepping up onto the mudguard with his front foot....what a horror- we'll be doing groundwork tomorrow. It'll be interesting to see what muscles are aching tomorrow...hopefully none.
