Feet Trimming for Louka

Gypsy & Sarg had their feet done this morning- Jonathon Keast is our farrier and what an excellent job he does on my horses. Gypsy just has fronts now and Sargeant is trimmed- We decided to leave Louka until this afternoon and do a little more leg lifting with him to make sure he is fine. Megan came along as well and Louka just stood perfectly for all four feet...Considering that he would have kicked you in the teeth for touching his legs at all when he first came we were absolutely blown away by his impeccable behaviour.... It was helped of course with Megan and myself giving him all the assurance he needed and Jonathon is excellent- very considerate to the horses especially young ones.  We started the trim with the thought in mind that if it was going to be too much of an issue for Louka we would do what we could and then a lot more work with his legs if necessary and get Jonathon back another day but we didn't have to- this amazing little horse also wanted his feet balanced properly- so now we will start a lot more training with him.
